Structured Data without plugin

Hi team,

If I wanted to implement structured data without using a plugin, what would be the best way to add it to the header section?

For example, I have a client with multiple locations, so I’m wanting to implement the Local Business schema on each location’s landing page. From what I can tell you can’t do this with snippet.

Can you please advise the best way, preferable plugin free, to go about this?

Thanks,
Ashley

Hi Ashley,

It is not very clear what you are trying to achieve here, still, I am guessing that you might be trying to implement some conditional logic that will help you show some messages. If that is the case, you need some complex customization and that is beyond the scope of Theme Support. I would suggest you hire a developer who can assist you in doing the customization or you can avail of our newly launched service called One TOTAL CARE, where we offer small customizations

Thanks

Hi,

I’m trying to implement some different types of structured data/schema mark up. On the homepage I want to implement organisation schema (https://schema.org/Organization) and on the landing pages for the various locations I want to implement local business schema (https://schema.org/LocalBusiness). The snippet plugin looks like it can handle the organisation schema for the website, but not schema applied to specific landing pages. Google recommends using JSON-LD, but you can also use micro data in HTML. Here’s an article about implementing it - https://www.semrush.com/blog/schema-markup-for-company-corporations/

I would like to implement it without a plugin, so I’m asking how I can do this? If I were to use JSON-LD, can I put it on the custom JSON on each individual page? I don’t need custom development or for anyone to write the code, I’m just asking where I put it if I’m not using a plugin. Can you please advise?

Thanks,
Ashley

Hello Ashley,

Thanks for the clarification. Regretfully we do not have a feature that you can add a custom JSON code to each individual page. You may need to edit the page in Cornerstone, insert a RAW Content element, and then this is where you can safely insert the JSON code as long as it is valid and correct.

Please be advised the custom JSON coding is beyond the scope of our support.

Best Regards.
