Strange effect after slider has looped around once

I haven’t tested this on desktop as I’m not at work now. On mobile though …
I have a slider set to carousel so it loops around. I don’t have drag turned on.
If I scroll up and down all is well. But if I do that after making the slider complete one loop, sliding up and down the page causes the slider to quickly change position back and forth.
I’ve made a screen recording here:

I can add login details to secure note if you want to check it out.

I did a bit more testing this morning. It only happens on mobile, when carousel is set. After clicking through the slides, and looping back around to slide #1, then scrolling up/down, the issue occurs. If you then click from slide #1 to #2 and try again, the problem has gone.

Thank you! I’ve made some adjustments here. I wasn’t actually able to reproduce it, but found some irregularities. If you don’t mind, try out the next beta (after we push it out in a few days) and let me know if it has improved.

Will do. I set up a clean install elsewhere and was able to reproduce it. But again, only on mobile/iPhone safari.

Thanks! Makes sense.

Still seeing this bug. I’ve been away travelling for a week so I haven’t had time to keep up with things. But I just had a look at the article in your blog about the sliders and noticed the same bug still exists, or appears to, on your own page. I’ll try to make a little screen recording of it to show you. I’m using the iPhone 11.

Thank you! I see what you mean now. It’s definitely something going on in the carousel mode. We’ll take a closer look at this.

This is still an issue. Just commenting to make sure it’s not forgotten.

Did this one get resolved yet? I think it’s still an issue

@spedney, I think it is a matter of settings. Try setting Transition to Linear and your Transition speed to 0.

Thanks @Misho , that seemed to help a bit. There is still some weird stuff going on though - I will investigate more when I get time

When it comes to our frontend libraries my game plan is to get over the hump of sticky bars and mobile issues of our frontend libraries as they were just affecting nearly everybody and get brought up a bunch. And then jump into sliders. Some of this has been me catching up with these custom libraries, but I’m confident after I finish those we can handle the issues with sliders quickly.
