Strange code on Website

Strange code is outputting below my footer on my site. The text is /* ]]> */ but i cannot find what is generating it. I need help on this.

I had the same problem. Please allow me to share the “fix” for the benefit of others.

WordPress now includes a plugin called “Plausible Analytics”. It added an HTML code in my default header… under Header JS. Comment out that line and the strange characters will disappear.
