Sticky navbar jumps down when (fast) scrolling up (only Safari, Chrome is fine)

Hi,

I have an issue on one of my sites and can’t figure out what is causing the problem.
When you scroll down and up (fast) the sticky navbar stucks and when scrolling down again it moves to the right position. See screenshots. It happens on every page and only on Safari. Chrome is fine.

Hope you guys can find out what is happening?

Thx in advanced

Hey @Marco,

I tested your site in Safari 13 and I’m not getting the issue you described. Would you mind getting the Safari version you’re using and also tell the version of your OSX or iOS?

Thanks.

Hi,

I use Safari version 14.0.1 (15610.2.11.51.10, 15610)
MacOS Catalina 10.15.7

Hello Marcus,

I do have the same computer setup and when I check your site I am not seeing any issues.

It could just a browser caching issue. Please clear your Safari browser’s cache or use private browsing mode and test your site again.

Hi,

Don’t you see that the navbar moves to far down? It is just a little bit but it is visible.
I also noticed it on another site I host and developed.

See screenshots.

Grtz Marco

Hello Marcus,

I have tested your site again on my Safari and I can replicate the issue.

The navbar seems stuck on the screen but you cannot click on it. When I inspect the elements on the page, the navbar is actually already in place. Graphically it is not looking nice and it looks broken.

This issue is a browser-related issue. It seems that the Safari browser rendering cannot display properly the elements as you scroll the page faster. We will investigate more about this issue.

Please bear with us.

Hi Ruenel,

Thx for your feedback.

It is not a big issue but would be great if you guys have a solution for this

Thx again and I hope there’s a fix soon.

Have a great day!

Grtz Marco

Hi Marco,

As my colleague says, we will investigate the issue and will fix it if anything is found.

Thanks
