Slow Performance on Menu

Our menu is loading extremely slow and laggy. We have tried following these thread:

• Pro Slow Menu Editing
• X-menu.js error
• How to remove "graphic display" and icon options from menu options - SOLVED

We also tried adding the code suggested from above forums and it did not work. The icon menu is still there. Wondering if you could assist us on this?

Please try the solution suggested here:

Menu Editing Slow (Again)

Even on Chrome the second example was okay. I’m all for filters and options that disable features you’re not going to use so we’ll go ahead and have this ready. Look for cs_use_custom_fields_map in the next release. Let us know if you have any issues when the time comes. If you are seeing fields in the menu relating to images that’s how you know the custom nav fields are running and double check your filters are running at all. add_filter("cs_use_custom_fields_map", '__return_false');

Please note that it’s strongly recommended to use a child theme when adding filters.

Unfortunately, the WordPress admin URL is not accessible and is showing a 403 Forbidden error. Can you please recheck the URL and let us know once it is ready to access?

We are able to access the WordPress login page, but it redirected to the My Account page, not to the Admin Dashboard. Please grant the Admin privileges to the user so they can investigate it further.

The child theme is not activated in your site. Kindly:

1. Activate the child theme
2. Make sure the code add_filter("cs_use_custom_fields_map", '__return_false'); is in your child theme’s functions.php

If you wish for us to check the setup, ensure that we can see the child theme’s code by temporarily enabling file editing in WordPress. The file manager in your site won’t open.

You have added the suggested code to the Child Theme, but that has not been activated. I temporarily activated it and found the Menu Page is loading perfectly fine.
