Slider order and position off after reload

Hi!

I’ve build a slider in cornerstone, everything worked fine until I noticed the order and position of the slides are off.
When I open an incognito tab and go the the homepage, everything works fine, but after I reload the order and position gets scrambled up. I’ve tried to debug the issue, but I’m running against a wall.

If I inspect element I see that when it works the grid is divided the way I’d like it to. [20% slide] [100% slide] [20% slide]. After the reload the grid is divided in 4 equal columns. I’ve also noticed this behaviour before, but I could never reproduce it, untill now.

Could you guys check out whats going on with the slider?

Hello @100leiden,

Thanks for writing to us.

I checked your site it seems that the slider is working fine at my end, I have checked it on the “Homepage” and “Contentpage” and it is working fine at my end. It might be the issue with the browser cache I would suggest you please clear your browser cache and then check it again. I have tested the site on Google Chrome Version 107.0.5304.107. If the issue still persists please let us know the browser and its version. I would request you please share the video as well.

Thanks

Alright, the issue starts when you refresh the browser using the refresh icon of the browser then you’ll see the slides are getting in the right position.

When refreshing with the shortcut “cmd + shift + r” you’ll see the slides are in a weird position. Once you use the slides navigation they will be restored to the right position.

We also saved this block as a template and used in on another page, see secure note. There it loads always wrong.

See the video in the secure note.

Hey @100leiden,

I see the issue. It’s the same with the Perspective Carousel Slider also. But this only happens on your site. This doesn’t happen on our slider demo page nor on any of my sites.

With that said, there is something in your server that prevents the script that moves slide container. What that is is a mystery, as there are no errors generated on the test page (see secure note).

If you’ll notice in our demo, the Perspective Carousel Slider should move slightly to the left after everything is loaded.

Would you mind reaching out to your web host to disable ALL server optimizations.

Thanks.
