Just noticed that in Firefox the carousel marquee effect has a very choppy animation. It does not transition as smoothly as in Chromium browsers. I have it set at a very low speed and that’s when it’s very noticeable.
Hey, @JvP! Just to make sure, when using the “Marquee” effect we always recommend that users set the easing to linear
. Anything other than this will appear choppy and unnatural as the easing will constantly try to “catch up with itself” as it animates to the next frame. This is a situation that users can sometimes find themselves in with regards to the extensive customizations that can be made on the Slider Element. If you started with another design but moved into a “Marquee” version, it might not have the correct easing, which could be causing this issue.
If you do happen to have your Slider setup in that way, we have an issue open with some general slider issues / improvements that need to be made. I do know that upon release of the Element all of those features worked appropriately, so if it’s happening even with a proper option setup, this is likely something we’d need to look into soon after the beta.
All right, I double checked and the easing was not set to linear. However setting it to linear did not change the choppy animation.
It’s totally ok to come back to this later because this is a distraction from the current cycle that you want to get out
Sounds good!
