I updated the credentials on the secure note. Thanks for looking at this. Please take a look at the navigation bar and footer. In the customizer it shows correct, but not while the site is live.
Hi @LucyKeile,
Unfortunately, the given credentials of WordPress, are not working, can you please check and send it once again.
Thanks
Hi @LucyKeile,
Thanks for updating them! I’ve installed a patched version on your site. Let us know if that corrects everything you’re seeing.
It works, but what is a patched version?
I need to make these changes to his live site.
Also, do you know why the map on the home page and also get in touch page does not work?
Hi @LucyKeile,
You can safely update to the latest version available via automatic updates. I’m sorry for not being clear. A patched version is just a way for us to fix the issue on your site directly until the official release goes out.
I think the map doesn’t work because the API key isn’t configured for your staging domain.
so I can go and update on the live version?
I will update theme > cornerstone and the navigation all will work?
What happens if there is issues on the release that will go out? ( is this a release of theme)
Can you tell me why was giving that problem on the navigation bar and footer?
I would say try updating your staging site and check to make sure everything is the way that you would expect it. Then update the live version. The issues we’ve discussed here are corrected but it would be good to make sure you’re happy with everything first. As for the navigation/footer it was most likely related to an error where some CSS was loading in the wrong order (fixed in one of the point releases).
@alexander
I am sorry but I am not 100% clear. The staging site looks perfect everything works but the map and I understand that is because the API key.
I apologize but I am new to staging and need to understand this better.
You said…
Was this installed by logging into the WP dashboard on the staged site or the actual site?
you said…
This was fixed on your theme so if I update the theme now this problem won’t occur?
Just want to understand better.
Thank you!
Hi @LucyKeile,
Was this installed by logging into the WP dashboard on the staged site or the actual site?
I only had the credentials to the staging site, so that’s where I installed it.
This was fixed on your theme so if I update the theme now this problem won’t occur?
Yes, that’s correct. Assuming you don’t see the problem occurring on the staging site after it is on the latest version.
Your credentials for the staged site is the same as for the regular site, I was told by my hosting folks, I thought this was a common thing. I can’t update the actual site because you did not install this patch there.
Can. you install and I update after. I have an important newsletter to release tomorrow and we will have a lots of traffic to the site, I can’t have a mistake.
I said the problem was navigation and it is fixed on staged site. Can you guide me here with what you did… I kind would like to know what is this patch.
The “patch” was simply us installing a version of Pro temporarily until the official release went out. You can update your sites via automatic updates now as it includes all the fixes you need.
Thanks - I did update the theme and cornerstone on live site, it works ( I don’t have issues with the navigation bar anymore)
I wanted to embed a YouTube video but I kept getting *pail to save messages.
I troubleshoot by deactivating plugins but the problem still persists.
I did not fix the issue but was able to create the post using a video player element for time being.
Now I am having all sorts of issues, browser not finding the site, taking forever to load, and I do need to update a text on a published post and it won’t allow me to save.
I am able to save on the staging site but not on the live one.
Please let me know what is the issue here.
If you need to look at the site the logins are the same on the secure note. Thanks
Hi @LucyKeile,
I just checked your live website and it is just loading fine on my end. I suggest that you clear your browser cache and let see if it solves your issue about taking to load forever.
On the other hand, regarding that, you won’t able to update/save a published post. I did a test on your live website and update one of your posts to test the issue but I couldn’t replicate the issue, I was able to save the post. See secure note for more information.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
I just did a test but login into the live site and try to update a text in a published post. It. does not save.
Stays like this for a long time. Then if I try to log in again says unresponsive.

Regarding, the other issue you are having, can you please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem?

Like I mentioned before it works on the stag site but not on the live site. The changes you made was on the live site.
I have updated the live site to the latest version of theme x and cornerstone
I tried editing that specific post and it won’t save. I was able to save other posts.
The credentials provided on the security note works for the live site.
@ruenel do you know what could be this issue?
@tristup doesnt work ;(
@marc_a - I could edit this response since the post is closed. Yes I am still experiencing a problem. That one particular post won’t save
Hi @LucyKeile,
I have tried the same credentials for your live site, but it didn’t work. I would recommend you update the theme with the latest version, which was released a few hours ago.
I would also suggest you follow the below steps while updating to the latest version of the theme.
- Delete the Cornerstone
- Update the X theme to the latest version on automatic updates
- After the X theme is updated, use the link in the dashboard to automatically install the Cornerstone. It will be at the latest version
If that does not resolve your issue, please provide the credentials for your live server to check.
Thanks
