Sidebar vs Widget

Hi Everyone.

So I’m playing with different features in Pro and I noticed that you can use the Appearance > Sidebar option to assign sidebars to pages. But then you can also add widgets directly into a page without the use of sidebars. Is there a benefit/gain with using one method?

I would really like to know so I can better create content!

Hello @kgpthemex,

Thanks for writing in! If you are using the default page templates, the Layout - Sidebar Left, Content Right, or Layout - Content Left, Sidebar Right, it is best that you use the sidebars. And if you have built custom pages, it is easier to use the Widget Area elements instead.
