Sidebar still not displaying on Posts Page (follow-up to topic 110016)

Following up on my June 2024 thread here: News & Events page. I set Content Layout to Content/Sidebar under Theme Options > Blog Options, and added a Categories widget to Main Sidebar under Appearance > Widgets, per your instructions. The sidebar still doesn’t render on our live Posts Page (reportsnow.com/about-us/news-events/). To test whether this settings panel is even connected to this page, I also changed the ‘Title’ field in Blog Options and it had zero effect on the live page’s output, suggesting this page isn’t using the template that panel controls. Can you confirm which template governs our Posts Page output and how to enable the sidebar there?

You are using a custom archive layout for your Blog index. In the layout, you have not added a sidebar. Though you have set up the sidebar in the Theme Options, the custom layout assigned to the blog index does not have a sidebar and this overrides the global settings. We would be happy to double check your site if we can log in. You can create a secure note in your next reply with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WP login URL
– WP username
– WP password
– WP Administrator Role
– Confirmation that we can access and make changes to your site

I tried to access the website admin dashboard, but the given login URL is not working on my end. Please share the correct login URL so we can access the site login page and then the dashboard. The given URL and the default login URL are not working.

Can you please try again. I hadn’t noticed it at the time but it appears I did not activate the user 2FA grace period.

I tried accessing the WordPress login page again, but it is not working on my end at the moment. Please disable the security plugin, or, if you have customized the login URL, please let us know.

Hello @ReportsNow,

Please be advised that your blog index or News and Events page is using a custom layout from the Layout Builder. This layout will NOT follow the Theme Option setting “Content/Sidebar” Content Layout.

  • See the secure note below

You will need to edit your custom layout and add a sidebar in your layout instead.

Hope this makes sense.
