Show content regarding condition in formidable form?

Hi there,

is there a more in depth tutorial how to work with conditions?
E.g. Expression -> String -> Query is a big black hole for me.

I ask, because I want to figure out, how to show / hide content depending on checkboxes in a form (here formidable)

Any hints for readings would be great.
