Before you can convert an element into a component you must set a unique label on the element. Don’t know about others but I always forget and get the “Set a unique label on this element…” error message. To make this experience a little bit better do you think the Convert to Component option could be grayed out with a small “Set a unique label first” help text below it when the element doesn’t have a unique label set?
I can keep this in mind and see how the team thinks of it. It does kind of break the mold is my only reservation. Thanks for the feedback.
No problem. Maybe there is a better way to prevent a user from taking an action that’s going to result in an error anyway?
