Service Unavailable when using X Theme

My website showed the following error:

Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It went away when I disable X Theme though (along with my headers and footers). Can someone help me with this?

Hello @GoddessBeginnings,

Thank you for the inquiry.

What is the current version of the theme? Please make sure it is updated to version 10.6.4. If the issue persists after updating the theme, provide the login details in a secure note so we can check further. Additional assistance from your hosting provider may also be necessary.

Best regards.

Hi @Ismael!

When I go to Appearance -> Themes, it shows that the current version of the theme is 8.3.3, but when I go to Home -> Updates, it says that the theme is up to date. Home -> Updates says that Cornerstone can’t update though because the license isn’t validated. Could that be part of the problem?

Thank you!

Hi @GoddessBeginnings,

I have checked your Themeco Account and found that the website listed uses the Pro license, but the issue you are facing is related to the X. It seems that you might have upgraded to the Pro, and still using the X and that is the reason why it shows the license is not valid for X while trying to update.

If you have upgraded your license to Pro, I would suggest you download the latest version of Pro and replace the X. You can go through the process here: https://theme.co/docs/converting-from-x-to-pro.

I also checked the listed website and found the TwentyTwentyOne theme is active and using an older version of Cornerstone i.e. 6.0.8.

If that is not the case or you are referring to any other website that is listed in another account, please mention it for further investigation and also share login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

NOTE: The Cornerstone plugin is not required separately for Pro, you can deactivate and delete it.

Thanks

Hi @tristup!

Thank you so much for your guidance this far! I’ve uploaded Pro theme and disabled Cornerstone as requested. When I go to the live review of Pro, it shows the same fatal error. I’ll add my details as a secure note attached to this.

Thank you for the update. We tried logging in but the password for the username is incorrect. Please check the info carefully or provide another admin account.

I added a note to the bottom of my original secure note regarding the password. Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you for the info. We are now able to access the site. Before we proceed, we would like to confirm if you have created a backup or restore point. We’ll proceed with the activation of the Pro theme once the backup is available.

We also recommend uploading a child theme. https://theme.co/docs/converting-from-x-to-pro#using-a-child-theme

Yes, I’ve created a backup. Feel free to do whatever is needed!

We get the same error after activating Pro. Please revert to a backup, then provide the FTP details in the secure note so we can check the server files while debugging.

It’s now in Recovery Mode. I’ll provide the FTP details in a secure note.

Hey @GoddessBeginnings,

I have just checked your site and it seems that the latest Pro theme 6.6.4 version is installed. You do not need to enable the Cornerstone plugin since it is integrated with the theme already.

Cheers.
