For a few years now we have been happily using X Theme and Cornerstone, but they are currently still older versions. (X Theme v 5.1.1 / Cornerstone v 2.0.6). We had been delayed in updating X and Cornerstone…and now that we have finally started testing updates we see how drastically different the Cornerstone experience is.
While I don’t doubt the usefulness and utility that the updated version of Cornerstone may bring…unfortunately we do not feel it to be as user-friendly as the older version (2.x) that we currently use in production, particuilarly for our less tech-savvy users that utilize Cornerstone for page edits.
With all that said, is there any way we can access specific versions of X Theme / Cornerstone, so we can update our current installs but only up to a certain version e.g. the latest version of Cornerstone prior to the visual / UI overhaul? I’m not sure if version 3 or version 4 of Cornerstone brought the UI overhaul but the preferred path for us would be to update to the latest version of Cornerstone prior to the big changes in the interface / editing experience. So if that means upgrading to the latest 2.x version that’s fine we would just need access to those files if possible.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
