Security Issues

Dear Themeco Team,

I’m in sort of conundrum with a client of mine for a page that I built with X/Pro. Let me get into details:

The temporary stagging Wordpress site on my hosting: http://cschwager.web45.s78.goserver.host/ is working perfectly, has been online quite for a long time and free of trojans.

However, same Wordpress page with same theme (X) and plugins cause or somehow affected by a trojan. https://www.christiane-schwager.de/

By the way, the result of URL-Virus-Scans for both pages seems okay. Except the fact that the real page on the hosting of my client is indicating some errors that are seemingly related to the theme. (Please take a look at the screenshots)

I already transferred a clean instance of Wordpress twice and in about 48 hrs the same thing happened again on the latter site. Could you give me a hint on how to proceed with that? Could that be caused by her hosting (as a matter of fact, I know it’s not SSL secured and there are dozens of sites and email accounts on the root directory)

It’s always hard to pinpoint security issues without having full access to the server but your issue sounds like it might be server related by them not having the proper security and SSL settings activated. I would bring this up with the hosting provider as they should be the best to troubleshoot their own hardware. thanks, it seems like the reason was the cookie consent plugin that she installed. (A quick research on Google show me that many of those plugins apt to GDPR cause malware, outrageous!) I’ll consider your Pro Hosted offer for my next projects.
