Section Effects only for Background Image

Hi there

I have set a zoom effect on hover for some sections with background images in Pro:
https://bluewhite.showmyproject.ch/zoom-page/

Is it possible, to only have this effect on the background image, so that only the image zooms in on hover and the text in the columns on the white field stays on its position? Also it would be great, if the image grows within its frame, so that there is no visible overflow?

Hi Felix,

Regretfully, there is no such option to set effect only for the section background image. Currently, it can be set to the section which affects all the content inside it.

Thank you very much for your reply and for the links with the great information. I am able to set exactly this effect in a column using this HTML:

The zoom works fine in the column but when I add the same code to a custom content type in a section, the image doesn’t zoom in on hover (see first image section):

What do I do wrong?

Hello Felix,

There are no hover events happening in the background because it is behind the entire row. You may be able to display the custom background, triggering the effect is impossible. The effect on the section’s custom background can only be achieved by reconstructing and styling the background element container.

Be advised that this is beyond the scope of our support already. This is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes of course, I understand. Sorry, I only thought, there is a standard function with the theme which I am missing.

Unfortunately I don’t know a developer which could help me with this issue. Does theme.co offer any customization services for a fee?
