Saving header as template

Yes, my site is complex. There’s about 30 headers needed so they represent the different sections of the site. But I’ve been using wpFlyMenu, which is a heavyweight JS application that is bloaty at best. I want to lose it for Googles core web experience.

I realized now that I can use the megamenu modal system included with Pro, and that is amazing! And lightweight, and not another plugin!

But, my reason for posting is with 30 headers, I don’t want to design this modal 30 times. How can I do a copy / paste, or a template or anything that can speed up and use 1 menu for all the headers?

Hello @bluedotproductions,

Thanks for writing in!

You can simply go to Cornerstone > Header Builder and select which custom header you want to save as a template then hit the Save as Template icon.

There is also the Duplicate icon where you can easily duplicate the custom header.

Best Regards.

Thanks for your reply @ruenel

I must have stated my question wrong. I already have 30 headers. I want to import navigation elements, menus that are templates - not the entire header. Is this possible? I don’t want to recreate 30 new headers off of a template for just an element that I want to add to them.

Like when working on pages, we can add to them with new template elements. Not have to start from scratch.

Hey @bluedotproductions,

Yes, it’s possible using the Template Manager. You can save each element as a preset. Check out the instruction here https://theme.co/docs/template-manager

Hope that helps.
