Rows can not be set differently depending on screen size

I have seen a few topics here with the same issue, but none of them resolve the lack of responsiveness. I have my layout on medium on the theme options. I used to be able to select a row on the page I am building and choose the device icon and set the # of columns for that row. I want to to set it like this:

Tablet to Desktop:
1 2 3

For Mobile (landscape and portrait):
1
2
3

However, once I change the device and set the # of columns, it defaults that setting to ALL devices. It never saves for just that view.

This wasn’t like that before I updated to the latest version.

I know that I could duplicate and hide based on screen sizes, but that presents a big problem down the road when you have to make changes on a page and you forget that there are hidden duplicates to change as well.

Is this a current bug?

I don’t know why this will work, but I used a row that had been there for some time and I duplicated it and moved the elements into it and so there was my solution. I even created a new row and did the same things as before and that doesn’t have any issues. Looks like a sporadic bug.

Hi @Kev,

Thanks for reaching out!

I tried to replicate your issue on my development website but I wasn’t able to replicate it. This could be a browser issue or cache issue on your end on your first try because when you made your test again, you’re now able to make it work.

@marc_a: I have cache on my hosting turned off completely. This is the second time I have had to delete a row in order for it to work. It doesn’t happen every time, obviously. And when I created a new row, it worked. So it is sporadic.

Hey @Kev,

We’re sorry that you are experiencing it that way. I tried to do it multiple times on my end but I can’t replicate it. This could be a user experience issue but we’re glad that it works for you almost all the time.

Thank you.
