Row Layout

I’ve got a freshly (within the last few days) installed Pro site. n a Pro-built page, I’ve got a column where I want to put a text element on the left and a Classic Type element on the right. So far so good. But I want to center align them vertically, but I can’t seem to find the Flexbox options. I looked in all the layout places: Section, Row (where I thought it would be), Column and even the text and custom type elements.

Was this removed recently? Am I just not clicking something in order to see it? I think I used to have to click something to see the Flexbox options, but I can’t see anything that triggers it.

On a side but possibly related note, I notice that when you go to the layout tab, it shows sections and rows, but it used to drill down to showing the elements in the sections and rows.

Hello Zach,

Thanks for posting in! The flexbox option were not remove in the column or row element settings. If you don’t see some of style options, you need to turn on the Advanced Mode by going to the Settings > Preferences > Advanced Mode

We would love to know if this has worked for you. Thank you.

Looks like I spoke too soon. Advanced Mode was already on. I turned it off and back on and refreshed the page to be sure, but I’m still not seeing any Flexbox options.

And how about the drilldown of the elements on the Layout tab?

Hey Zach,

Are you using a Classic Section, Row or Column? Because if that is the case, those elements don’t have Flex Options.

If not, please give us WordPress Admin access in a Secure Note and also provide the URL of the page you’re editing.

I’m not sure what you mean by “drilldown” of elements so please give us more details about that as well.

Thanks.

No, it’s a regular row. I’ll get you guys access in a sec.

As far as the layout differences go, the first one is what I’m used to and like better as it lets me select elements more easily. The second is what I’m seeing on the client’s site I’m currently working on.

Hello Zach,

I have just checked and you are actually using the classic version of elements because the Pro version that is active on your site is an outdated one.

Kindly backup your site then update your Pro version and make sure to clear your cache.

Hope this helps.

Well don’t I feel like a git! I thought it was a fresh install but must have mixed up an old file I had with the one my client sent. Thanks!

You’re most welcome,

Cheers!
