i set up the editor to be able to edit the classic element “classic feature list”
i also put advanced mode to alwas on.
i also read: https://theme.co/docs/configure-user-permissions
the editor can now change existing feature list items. but cannot add/clone an item. the duplicate icon does not show up.
what could be the problem?

Thanks for reaching out.
We’re sorry that we aren’t able to reply to your query as fast as you wanted because we have so many tickets in the forum and we answer them from the top to bottom. The reason why your editor role can’t add any item to your classic feature lists is because of your page permission.
When I enable that permission under the editor role then I can add now an item to your classic feature lists on your press page. If any option didn’t work, just try all the options on that page permission.

thanks a lot for your helpful reply! it now works fine 
and i understand the page permissions better. maybe it would be a good idea to make it more clear on the documentation page, that the page permissions are working very close together with the other options. because i can activate the abiltiy to edit an element but still cannot edit it completely. “adding” an element is something different i think. i just wanted to add/duplicate an item within an element…
also i want to mention, that i did not want you to reply faster - i was just so used to replies within hours in the last months, that i thought something is wrong or has changed in your support system. your fast and good support is the main reason i got a lifetime license
