A slider that appeared at the top of my home page, vanished on the last update to WP about a week ago.
It still shows if I check the Inspector, but I cannot get it to appear and I cannot access the Section or space through Cornerstone. I haven’t used the interface for awhile so I may be missing something, but I have not been able to find the error. It was done using Slider Revolution. Attached is the Source Code.
Hi @marcsp,
There might be several reasons that is happening. I suggest that you create a complete backup of your website and follow the steps below:
- You are using version 6.1 of Revolution Slider. Please update it to version 6.2.5
- Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third-party plugins, and see if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
- Remove custom CSS and Javascript from the theme options and change the theme from Child Theme to Parent Theme and see if the problem persists.
- You used the Below Masthead option in the homepage to add the Revolution Slider. Try to remove that and use the Classic Revolution Slider element inside the Cornerstone page builder.
kindly get back to us with the result of the steps above and URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard using the Secure Note functionality of the post to follow up the case if you still have problems.
Thank you.
Sorry, I tried 1 through 3 with no luck. Item 4 I did not try because to be honest I don’t remember how I did that.
I will say I created a new test page to see if I could place the slider as a “Classic Revolution Slider” element and that did not work either.
I’ve add my credential as a secure note.
Hey @marcsp,
The issue could be a glitch or a bug in Slider Revolution. I saw that your slide has a background image but the Module Background option was off upon checking so I’ve set the background to test and it works.
By the way, you can read about the Slider Above and Below Masthead options in our Page Settings article here: https://theme.co/docs/page-settings
Hope that helps.
Thanks, I’ll see what I can track down. I’ll probably just rebuild it and see if that works.
We are delighted to assist you with this.
Cheers!
