Revolution Slider Font Issues

Hello all,
I am stumped…

I am trying to add a couple of fonts to Revolution Slider and having no luck…

Well…

I have uploaded the fonts to my fonts folder on my server… used @fontface to call it in css

went back to the slider and changed the font family to that font I am trying to use.

However, the font changes but it is more of an opensans type looking font, which is nowhere near what I am using…

The two fonts are saturday vibes and true north that I am trying to get loaded on a slider.

I have even tried using the css under advanced css in the slider settings but only with the same results…

The fonts are showing up correctly before I upload them from my computer to server but when I make that call to activate it on the slider it is having some issues…

Any help would be greatly appreciated… Thanks in advance!

Hey Bradley,

Thanks for writing in! I went to check your licenses to find out the site url. I could not find it because I am not sure which one is it. To assist you with this issue, we’ll first need you to provide us with your URL. This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation. Once you have provided us with your URL, we will be happy to assist you with everything.

Regards.

I added a secure note above with the site name as I do not want it public. The site is currently under construction… I will go back and put in the password to get into the site.

Hello Bradley,

The naming convention of your font file is creating an issue. Instead of using Saturday%Vibes.ttf, please rename it to Saturday-Vibes.ttf and then upload the file again. You will also need to edit the url of the font file in your custom css.

Please let us know if this works out for you.

I have tried the name you suggested with the dash before trying the % and it did not work. I have been trying this for 3 days now and to no avail.

I have went through the tutorial on themepunch that states how to do this just to make sure everything was correct and I have done it exactly how it says and it is not working … at all.

Hello Bradley,

It is still not working because you have this font URL:

https://https//www.example.com/wp-content/themes/pro-child/framework/fonts/Saturday-Vibes.ttf

The correct one should be:

https://www.example.com/wp-content/themes/pro-child/framework/fonts/Saturday-Vibes.ttf

(your domain has been changed to something else by the way. )

Your will have to update your custom css.

What do you mean mydomain has been changed?

And here is the code I have for both fonts I would like…

code remove

Hey Bradley,

I change your domain to example.com to make sure that others will not see it.

Meanwhile, the code were correct now and the font works already.

If you need anything else we can help you with, don’t hesitate to open another thread.

I actually ended up just doing it in photoshop because it would never work. I created a new slider. However, I would still like to troubleshoot the issue because the client would like the original slider to work.

Hi Bradley,

I was a bit confused as the slider works are Ruenel said, but as you said, you already changed it to image and I checked the sliders and indeed they use images now.

Perhaps you can set up the slider again without those images and with fonts? If it’s just a single element or layer, then I recommend using image than font, it’s more optimized since it doesn’t need to load the entire set of files.

Thanks!
