Reopen: Blog Post overview works not correct

After Update the issue isn’t fixed.

"If i create a post with the wordpress standard editor, in the post overview i can read a short text sample and it shows a “read more” button. If i edit this post with conerstone and save it - the button “read more” goes away.

So, the shortcodes doesn’t work correctly with the postoverview."

Hi @chemmedia_AG,

My colleague has already reported the issue into the issue tracker, so the issue has been already queued for fixing by our development team. Please remember that, while adding or editing the post using the Cornerstone, you need to add the Manual Excerpt from the Post > Settings, to get the excerpt in the post list as shown in the screenshot.

yes, i know this. there i can write a preview text but in the post overview page it doesn’t show the “read more” button.

Please be advised that the post excerpt that does not display when you use Cornerstone is a known bug. It has been fixed in the recent release Cornerstone 5.1.4. You can check out our changelog here:

Could you please update to the latest versions?

Hi, the issue is still there, after update.

X-Theme Version 8.1.5
Cornerstone Version 5.1.

Hey @chemmedia_AG,

The issue is fixed. You will need to generate enough content to meet the Excerpt Length value in Theme Options > Blog.

It would be best that your first element in Cornerstone is a Text element with lots of text.
