Remove word Posts from breadcrumbs

I want to remove the word posts, have searched on the forum, but the function given isn’t working when placed into the child theme.

Have looked at this and it does not appear to work; Remove word 'post' from breadcrumbs

Please could you help with this, it seems like it is not just me asking so it would benefit everyone to know how to do this.

Thanks for reaching out.
It seems that you have not set the Home Page and Post Page from Settings > Reading. The code in the reference thread will only work if the Post Page is set.
