RC2 Scaled Header Image

Hi there,

Loving the new features on 4.0.

Have noticed that on my site when I went from RC1 to RC2 it made the image I had in my header bar set to “Scaled” to be like wayyyy over sized in the bar and not scaling - just goes straight to the max size.

I have removed and re-added the image element back into the header and still the same issue.

Thanks, Tom.

@tomr96, thanks for writing in and sorry to hear about that issue. Could you please provide us a link to your live site to look at this. We fixed another scaling image issue earlier in the cycle and I’ve tested them locally and they seem to be working fine for me, so I’d need to see your exact setup to deduce what’s going on.

Thanks!

Thanks Kory.

I have added the details below to the secure note.

Thanks, Tom.

@tomr96, thanks for that…huge help! The issue here is that your Bar is set to have an auto Height. Bars by their nature are primarily intended to be built out to used fixed heights because of how they work. auto Height Bars are allowed, but in doing this you won’t be able to use certain features such as scaling images or sticky bars that shrink as it scrolls. Make sure you’ve set a px value Height on your bar, and you should see the shrinking / scaling work as you expect.

Thanks!

Thanks Kory.

Unsure if this was something caused with the upgrade then as never had the issue before.

Thanks for the setting feedback - will update settings and then upgrade to latest RC.

Thanks, Tom.

Thanks Tom! I did a little testing in Pro 3 and I think we’ll be ok here. Because that bar height is used for the scaling, it would be an unpredictable result either way. Scaling images were always intended to be in bars with a set height and Bars have a height by default.
