RC2.0 - "Stacking" Headers with Priority

Hey team, just playing around with the RC2.0. Firstly, just want to say this is incredible. Thanks so much!

Secondly, I’m looking at the headers/footers and wondering whether it’s possible to stack headers one after the other with priorities? e.g. We’d have “Main Menu” header set to display on all pages with priority 20. Then a second header called “Secondary Menu” set to display on certain pages with priority 30. The expected result would be that on certain pages, “Main Menu” would output with “Secondary Menu” right below it.

This way, if I need to make design changes to the bar in “Main Menu”, I’d only have to make the changes once. Whereas currently, I believe I’d need to duplicate the “Main Menu” header, add in the secondary menu bar, and if changes needed to be made then it would have to be done to BOTH headers.

Does that make sense?

Thanks for your time!

If I understand you correctly, I think this could be handled with the conditions settings… ie display secondary menu when condition X is true… this would all be within a single header

Oh that makes way more sense :man_facepalming:
That’s what I was after. Thanks @scotbaston.

Just been playing around a bit more, and it doesn’t seem possible to add “archive” or “woo archive” conditions to bars/containers/elements?

e.g. Show bar when on shop page or woo category/tag archive.

Is this possible or am I missing something? I know I could make a shop page layout, but I’m happy with the default layout for now and just want an extra bar to show on those pages.

Thanks!

Hi @conorseed,

Element Conditions are definitely the solution to bars showing only in certain contexts (thanks @scotbaston!) but we regretfully don’t have rules programmed in for WooCommerce specific query conditions. I’ll make a note to get some added. I’m sorry, it won’t be for the official release but I’ll see if we can make it part of another wave of updates we do regarding element conditions and dynamic content.
