RC1: Loop and Grid, Edit Versus Preview

Hello,

Here’s a grid layout:

  • The enclosing section is set to produce 6 posts
  • The first cell in the grid is set to span across the width, and consume 1 post
  • The second cell is set to consumer many posts, and auto placement

It looks like this in the editor, which is what I would expect

Here’s what the actual page renders as:

  • The first cell isn’t spanning the grid
  • The second cell isn’t repeating

I just reloaded the page in Chrome, and this is now working. It must be something odd about Safari.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for reaching out about this. I gave it a try and it’s working ok here (in Chrome and Safari). Something I had to do when reproducing it was make sure I didn’t have a different grid template on any of the other breakpoints. Wondering if it might be something like that. If you right click any of the breakpoint icons in the grid controls you can use the context menu to copy your settings to all breakpoints for that item.

None of that accounts for why we’re not seeing the content repeated. I’m not sure why that wouldn’t be working but if you had a site I could login to and check that would be helpful. Thanks!
