Problem validating so I can update version of X Theme

Trying to update X theme version 4 to version 6 on subdomain. Getting a error “Could not establish connection. Please ensure your firewall is not blocking requests to theme.co” after entering api key. I unlocked license on on theme.co/apex under licenses since i’m transfering the license from a old site to a subdomain, but get same error in wordpress.

Thanks for writing in!

As you are trying to update from X Theme version 4.0.6 and Cornerstone 1.0.5, automatic update won’t work and you will have to manually update X Theme and Cornerstone. Please take a look at the steps shared in following thread to manually update:

It seams to have updated manually and validated X Theme to new version now. Only issue i’m having now is on the Cornerstone plugin menu it still says “Great to see you’re using Cornerstone with X, but it is ​not validated.” even though I manually uploaded cornerstone also

Cornerstone is asking you to validate it because you have installed the X theme files incorrectly. At the moment, the X theme files is located in:

https://new.your-domain.com/wp-content/themes/x/x/ 

Please log in to your ftp and move the X theme file to this location only:

https://new.your-domain.com/wp-content/themes/x/
