Prob with activating essential grid

Hello

I purchased a full version of essential grid. I uninstalled the version packed with the theme. I uploaded the full version and I dont get prompted with the screen to install my purchase code. I am using the pro child theme. I read a post about updating the functions.php file. However, it was written for X. Can someone please help me fix this issue for pro child theme?

Also, when I upload the full version two copies pop up in the plugin activation screen. Why are there two versions in this screen and which one should I activate?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for writing in! Please follow this post and and it into your child theme’s funtions.php file (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/error-cant-activate-purchased-version-of-essential-grid/55096/2?u=mldarshana). It’s the same function name x_essential_grid_theme_setup() used inside Pro theme as well so that code will work for both X theme and Pro theme as well.

If you see two copies, please delete any instances of your essential grid plugin by connecting though your server’s FTP account (/wp-content/plugins/essential-grid/). Delete any folders by the name of essential grid, then re-install it through your plugins section, then implement the above code in your child theme and see if that helps.
