Pro - Best Method for Staging?

Support
#1

Hi -

We are working on developing a new configuration and look of our site on our staging site. Since our production site is running (on a totally different theme) with new content added constantly, what is the best method for transferring the Pro theme and setting to production site?

Especially since it appears that only pages templates can be exported and not the entire set of Pro settings/customizations?

Thanks,

Ira

Hi Ira,

Thanks for writing in!

Currently there is no way to export PRO Settings.

You will need to do it manually.

Set your live site to maintenance mode, upload your theme and copy the settings from your staging.

Thanks

There are way too many settings… Good point of Pro - just very hard to move everything from staging to live.
What I did find helpful was to save some of the page templates to my computer.

Okay, I just hope that you have the export function going before NEXT time I have to do this…

Thanks,

Ira

Hi Ira,

We certainly appreciate the feedback! This is something we can add to our list of feature requests. This way it can be taken into consideration for future development. All of these items are discussed with our team internally and prioritized based on the amount of interest a particular feature might receive. Thanks!
