Pro 6 Beta 2 - Pages created outside of Cornerstone not available

In Pro 5.1.5 I can go to Dashboard -> Pages -> Add New and create a page and choose my template. Then publish the page. If I then open Cornerstone from Dashboard -> Cornerstone - Page Builder the page is available in Cornerstone.

In Pro 6 Beta 2 I can go to Dashboard -> Pages -> Add New and create a page and choose my template. Then publish the page. If I then open Cornerstone from Dashboard -> Cornerstone the page is not available in Cornerstone.

In Pro 6 Beta 2 I need to go to Dashboard -> Pages -> Hover over the page and click “Edit with Cornerstone” or I need to go into the page and click “Edit with Cornerstone”. The page is then only available in the “Cornerstone” menu after I save it.

My normal process for building sites is to plan the site structure / site map, then manually create all the pages I need after which I build out the headers and footers which allows me create menus and internal links to pages as I build them.

Not having these pages available in “Cornerstone” after they are created, like they are in Pro 5.1.5 is not practical and messes with my work flow. Any chance of having this work the same as it always has in previous versions of Pro?

@urchindesign, this has already been fixed and should be addressed in the next bundle. Thanks!

This issue is still present for me in RC1.

If I create a page outside of Cornerstone if I go to Cornerstone it is not available.

I think we might have been mistaken on this one. So you want to edit every page in Cornerstone? I’ll have to ask why we changed this from 5, but worse case scenario we can add a setting so this does not interfere with your flow.

The simple answer is that if you created a page outside of Cornerstone in Pro 5 it was available in Cornerstone when you were in Cornerstone.

In Pro 6 if you create a page outside of Cornerstone it is no longer available inside of Cornerstone.

This means you need to go out of the builder, go to the pages, find the page and click edit with cornerstone to go back into the builder to work on the page.

This slows down the work flow.

@urchindesign, I’ll have to review the old flow here and see what might have changed and why. Can’t say for certain what we might end up doing, but this has been noted and will be reviewed.

@charlie I just wanted to circle back to this.

In Pro 5 we could create our page structure outside of Pro and the pages were available in the builder.

In Pro 6 we can still create our pages outside of Pro however the pages are no longer available in the builder. This means we need to move out of the builder, edit the page and finally click edit with Cornerstone. This significantly disrupts the work flow.

It would be great if pages created outside of Cornerstone were available in the builder irrespective as to whether they were created outside of Cornerstone or not.

Then slightly off topic but in my builds the “default template” is still the template “Container / header / footer”. At a point in time this was meant to have changed. In some of the beta’s I’m pretty sure this was changed so when we created pages the default template was “No container, header / footer”.

A number of people have brought this up and It’ll get set to what it was doing in 5 where you see them all. I’ll probably add a preference to hide ones created outside CS. Thanks have a great day!
