Pro 6 Beta 1.0 - Raw and Icon elements - Issue reporting

Congrats on getting the Pro 6 Beta launched and love the tabs, make life soooo much easier when editing multiple designs for pages and archives. The new UI looks great and I prefer the new breakdown of each element with the tabs rather than the long scrolling to get to customise etc.

I’ve spotted a few issues I want to make you aware of.

Accessing the editor from the Wordpress side menu doesn’t work it takes you to the setting page, I can only directly access from the top menu selecting Cornerstone. Also can you add back in the selections for layout / pages etc to that menu.

I had an exist raw content element which was displaying an ACF field containing a code snippet and I was displaying using [code] shortcode with the dynamic content inside the shortcake. This doesn’t display anymore, it doesn’t display in an exist layout. I have emptied the Pro cache just in case

I’ve tried to add an icon element to an existing cell in a grid element, it already contains a text field. The icon element adds ok but you cannot change the icon, I only get a blue outline when I select the edit area. I have also tried selecting the background and then the eye dropper and nothing happens. (tested in Safari & Chrome)

I’m using Safari version 15.5.

Other bugs:

  1. When trying to preview in the layout builder I can select my custom post type but no posts loads it just displays “No Options”

Thanks for writing in and for your feedback…I’m glad that you’re enjoying the new UI!

  1. Accessing the editor from the WordPress side menu has been addressed. We had a couple other people report it as a general bit of UX feedback and that link has been updated.
  2. We cannot add direct links to the “Layout” or “Page” builders anymore due to the streamlining of everything via the multi-document editing. However, when you click the “Cornerstone” menu in the backend it should open up the new “All Documents” menu and show you everything, which you can filter down easily as you need to using the dropdown menu up top of the fuzzy search. Adding a new asset can be done with the “+” right next to this, which allows you to easily add any new asset without having to go into a nested context.
  3. For your Raw Content Element issue, are you able to provide us with your login credentials using our secure sharing feature so we can take a look at this? If so, please provide us with a direct link to the page in question so we can dig a little deeper here.
  4. I have confirmed the icon picker is not opening at this time.
