Pro 6.0.0 Beta 3 - Conversion To HTML Does Not Render ACF Fields

Hi Charlie,

I have just converted a site from shortcodes to HTML storage. This site has many pages which use ACF fields to populate some of the page content. It appears that none of the ACF fields’ content gets rendered in the HTML. In the screenshot below, there should be ACF content after the word “in” in the highlighted section.

On the front-end, the ACF content is displayed correctly:

What alerted me to this was that for the first time, Rank Math was scoring page content much better than before the HTML storage conversion - but not on pages with ACF content.

Is this issue a bug, or can ACF content not be placed in the HTML?

Thanks,
Christopher

This will be fixed in the RC. I am not setting up the Post for Dynamic Content to track when rendering the HTML SEO. Thanks for sending this my way.

Brilliant. Thank you.

By the way, HTML Storage is making a big change to Rank Math’s accessibility on pages without ACF fields. On most important pages I am seeing a jump from an average mid-50s SEO score to high-80s, now that it can see Cornerstone output. A big change.

This issue is still present in RC1. No ACF content via loopers shows in the admin area if I temporarily flip to Code view. The same is reflected in the Rank Math SEO scores, as they do not alter, despite the ACF fields being available to it.

The results are the same as in my original screenshot. However, in addition, there is now a massive amount of (to me :upside_down_face:) weird code/markup, which I did not see in the Beta 3 version, as in the screenshot below:

I can see exactly the same scenario on a second staging website.

Any ideas, Charlie?

Since you had this issue you’re actually going to need to migrate back to shortcodes, then migrate to HTML again so it runs again with the fix in place. I tested by just saving that page you sent me too (which will regenerate the HTML) and I see the “Organizations and businesses In …” is filling in now. Let me know if I missed anything too. Thanks for bringing this to us.

Perfect. The back and forth migration has fixed it. Many thanks!
