Pro 5.1 - RC1 - Clicking a slide outside of the loop

Hi!

I have created a test slider that loops 8 WooCommerce products.

The provider is on the Slider container, and the consumer is on the slide.

I have added in another slide, to appear as a button that leads to the shop. It appears after the looped slides and this works great.

However, whenever I click that slide to edit it, it “runs away”. Also, that slide shows no elements until it is moved into the active position.

Here is a video to better illustrate:

This is the current container setup:

Thank you for all the info and the video! Very strange - I’ve replicated your settings and it isn’t happening. However, I think it might have been related to one of the other script errors we patched. I’m going to push RC2 today. Let me know if this is back under control.

@alexander, it is fixed with RC2!

Thanks!

PS: There is a bit of odd behavior however.

If I click the slide which is outside of the loop, it will quickly move and settle to the position left of the active slide. Then I can edit it. This is not a big hurdle.

After clicking the slide outside of the loop, and then clicking a slide inside of the loop, it will keep progressing to the next slide, but making a whole trip around in the left direction. Each click to the active slide causes the slider to move, one trip around, but it does not allow editing.

  • Clicking the looped slide left to the active (center) one, allows editing it.

  • Adding a new section below, causes the slider to make two roundtrips before the content editor moves down.

-Doing anything in the other sections, causes the slider to move before the action goes through. Even hitting the Save button.

  • on the front-end, clicking the slides causing the slider to move, before the linked page loads.

I am giving you the credentials in the secure note, in case there is something specific about the setup.

Thanks!

Thanks Misho, I’ve still got some more tuning to do with all those interactions, so once that’s settled I can look at this more closely. Hopefully the changes for RC3 are an improvement, otherwise I’ll take a closer look at this Monday. I appreciate you sharing all this!

Hi @alexander!

Clicking around a slider with such a setup is much smoother in RC3. (In Cornerstone).

Adding new sections and doing other work outside of the slider can still trigger the slider into moving.

In addition, if the looped slider has clickable containers, clicking a slide on the front end will cause it to move before following the link.

Thanks!

Thank you! Will take a look at if we can improve anything there.

@Misho,

We’ve made some more adjustments here to help with this, and we’ve also added this option:
