Elements that have children like Columns, Cells, and Divs can’t be moved in the live preview. The thing about Divs is that they often get their dimensions from the children inside them. By their own nature, they will be trickier to work with in the preview. It’s a bit easier with Columns because they usually have fixed dimensions.
When working with arrangements of Divs, it’s better to use the Outline tab. But even then, there are some quirks in the Outline panel where it makes working with divs unpredictable. Unfortunately, it’s not a quick fix. We’re probably going to rewrite the logic behind all that from the ground up now that we’re leaning into nested elements more heavily. Additionally, we’re planning to change the “Children” controls on layout elements to work like miniature outlines. For example, if you Inspect a Row you’ll not only be able to access the Columns, but you can expand those Columns to see (and Inspect) the children inside.
Hopefully this gives some more context. For the Slider element Cycle (planning on September) we won’t be making changes here, but we’ll be getting back to this stuff.
