Pro 5.0.1 - responsive grid feature request

Hi @alexander

I’m building responsive css grids in Pro 5.0.1 and noticed something that feels inconsistent AND slows the workflow

Currently, the visual adjustment of cell positioning is less useful than it could be. As far as I can tell there is no way to use the visual adjustment at different preview sizes without first setting each of the x/y start/end points for that screen preview size manually.

I propose that the visual adjustment of cell positioning is always responsive to the screen preview size. This would save a lot of manual keying in and also prevent errors to visually adjusting the cell postioning at a screen size to find it has changed it for all screensizes

I was building a CSS Grid as well, and noticed a dramatic increase i time it took me to adjust responsiveness.

Sometimes dragging the cells visually was not even possible.

@scotbaston, you’re right, any changes in that grid editor should always apply to the currently viewed breakpoint - not the root. This is similar to an issue @Misho pointed out with Rows and the drag-to-resize feature. We’ll take a closer look at this.

@Misho, I sometimes found I had to drag a cell 2 positions voer and then drag it one position back :wink:

Thanks @alexander, so more a bug than a feature? and likely to be resolved soonish :smiley:

Yes, we’ll get it fixed up in one of the point releases.

@scotbaston, @Misho

At this point I’m thinking this one and the row issue will be sorted out for a point release on Monday. Hoping we can make that the final release of the cycle.
