Pro 4.3.3 - Possible bug with templates

If you create a template in Pro 4.3.3 and then delete the template, if you try to create a new template with the same name Pro tells you that you can’t make a template with the same name.

You need to refresh the page in order to save the template even though the template with the same name is already deleted.

Another thing I have noticed is that if I have created a template in the page builder when I add a section and choose and select choose a template then I can select my template under “My Templates”. I can also load the template from the Outline panel.

If I go to the Layout Builder and create a new section then I can’t select the template from the “My Templates” section as it is not shown but if I go to the Outline Panel I can add the template from there.

It would be useful if we can load the template from the"My Templates" section.

Thanks! Something is off with the caching there. We’ll figure that out.

Sometime between now and the Theme Options reboot we will most likely be finding a way to integrate the new Templates modal with the “Load Template” button. I imagine it going something like this:

  • Click Load Template
  • Next choose the “Insert” location
  • The Template modal appears allowing you to choose from
    • Starter Templates
    • Design Cloud
    • My Templates

That should tie everything together and remove the redundant Outline behavior.
