Pro 4.2, X 8.2, Cornerstone 5.2 - Minor beta breaking changes

Hi everyone,

I’m making a separate post to bring two breaking changes. These only affect sites that used any of the beta versions from this cycle. We really hate to do this and avoid it as much as possible even during a beta phase, but have needed to make an exception for these to make sure the official release is as stable as possible.

  1. Layout elements created using a beta version may have their z-index versions set to 1 if they were not changed from auto. This shouldn’t have an adverse effect in most cases unless you were specifically intending for something to be z-index: auto

  2. We removed the {{dc:acf:sub_field}} Dynamic Content directive. If you used this anywhere, you can replace it with {{dc:looper:field}}. After more testing of our own, we felt it was less confusing to just streamline it into the existing Looper Field instead of adding another dynamic content field type which could be confusing since it only related to ACF Repeater fields.

Hopefully these are quick and easy adjustments to make. I apologize for anyway it inconveniences your upgrade process from beta to the official version.
