Hello, how do I add a link to my privacy policy next to the Subscribe button in e-mail forms? It’s fairly standard in other plugins, but I can’t find the feature in Email Forms.
Hey @HannaHa,
Regretfully, there’s no option for privacy link in our Email Forms extension. You can, however, add a text link using the Text element below the Email Forms element or shortcode. If you’re not sure how to add, give us the URL of the page where you added the email form and we can suggest how you can add the link.
Thanks.
Hello, yes I added the text under the form, but it doesn’t look like it belongs to the form, the space between is too wide.
What plugins for forms work well with X theme? I think I need to swap Email Forms for something else.
Hello @HannaHa
You can try Contact-Form-7 plugin for email forms but regretfully, there’s no option for privacy link. You can try the ticky solution to add a privacy link in the contact-form-7. Please check out this article.
Thanks
Hello, I installed Contact form 7 and the instructions you linked to worked really well. Thank you for your help
Hello @HannaHa,
You can remove the shortcode of the checkbox [acceptance your-checkbox][/acceptance]
from the form and keep only label and link.
For example
<label>
<p><a href="Your Link">Your text </a></p>
</label>
Please note that we don’t provide any third-party plugin support and custom development support.
It is out of the support scope.
Thanks for understanding
I understand, thank you
Here’s a question that I think is related to X theme though… I get a small orange square at the bottom of the form, to the far left. How can I remove it?
Hello @HannaHa,
This is an issue of our Theme. It has been already fixed by the development team in the latest version of X theme 8.0.4. You can find more info in the release notes
I would recommend you to please update your theme and then check it again. Please make sure you have a backup of your files and database before updating the theme.
It would be best if could copy your live site to a staging server and update your Pro theme with 4.0.0 version.
In case if you haven’t seen our theme update doc please have a look at it.
Thanks
Thank you, that worked! I have another question though. The text in the form (below the button) has much bigger line spacing than the other text in the Section. How can I change this?
Hi @HannaHa,
This might be due to the line-height attribute value of the section, you can change the value of the line-height to the assigned class to this section to reduce the space between two lines.
If that does not help, please provide the page URL to investigate the reason behind this.
Thanks
Hello, the text above the form is in the same section, so that’s why I don’t get it. I’m sending you my details now
Hey There,
I’ve went ahead and fixed the line height of that section for you by adding custom CSS to the theme options. All the best!
Oh, wow, that’s amazing! Thank you so much
Hi @HannaHa,
