Preview could not load - WooCommerce CheckOut page

Hi there.

I get this message when opening the WooCommerce CheckOut page:

The preview could not load due to the iframe response being incomplete. This is most often related to a plugin conflict, or customisations introducing a PHP error.

Everything is updated. I have turned off all plugins and emptied cache - and it is clear that this error relates to the Woocommerce plugin.

The error doesn’t occur in another theme.

Thanks for your help.

Hi @nblund,

Thanks for reaching out.
I have checked the page and also the layout assigned to it in the Layout Builder and both are loading perfectly fine.

If that is not the case and you are trying to point out something else, please provide any screenshot marked with the issue or any video that helps us to recognize the problem.

Thanks

Hi again.

I am not sure I follow you. Please see attached images.

  1. First an image of the page in Pro theme backend. I would expect to see a normal page layout template. You will see the error there, although it does sometimes change to another error message (in which case it does not show the ‘Search’ layout. The other message goes: Hey! No suitable preview area found. This could happen when a third party plugin is overriding the contra area og ‘The Content’ is not being output by the current layout.

  1. Then an image of the page in Pro theme frontend - it shows the search layout instead of the specific page layout (yet to be designed).

  1. Then an image of the page in Twenty Twenty-Two theme backend where everything is in (pre-design) order.

  1. Finally an image of the page in Twenty Twenty-Two theme frontend - again everything is in (pre-design) order.

The [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode is already there. What do I need to do?

Thanks.

Hi @nblund,

Sorry for the confussion, but I have visited the Preview URL mentioned in the secure note in your previous reply and checked the Layout assigned to it, which shows correctly. As there is no product added to the cart on the checkout page it redirected to the shop page and that is where confussion arises. I have also tried to add a product to check the checkout page, but there is no option to Add to Cart in the Product details page. Can you please add a product to the cart or enable the Add to Cart button for further investigation?
I would also suggest you create a WC Single layout and use the predefined template for the Checkout page and assign it to the page and check if that resolves your problem.

Thanks

Thanks @tristup,

The Add to Cart link and checkout page was actually already there. But link was hidden for the moment. Anyway, it is visible now. But … Problem solved. I can’t exactly say why, but I know for certain that I had similar issues with the my-account page, and in that case the problem was that I had set the conditions for the search layout so that the layout would be applied for that WooCommerce page…

Thanks anyway…
