Preview could not load on WooCommerce CheckOut page

Hi there.

I get this message when opening the WooCommerce CheckOut page:

The preview could not load due to the iframe response being incomplete. This is most often related to a plugin conflict, or customisations introducing a PHP error.

Everything is updated. I have turned off all plugins and emptied cache - and it is clear that this error relates to the Woocommerce plugin.

The error doesn’t occur in another theme.

Please refer to this ticket: Preview could not load - WooCommerce CheckOut page. I concluded the problem was solved without understanding exactly why. It now appears that the problem was not solved.

Hi @nblund,

Thanks for reaching out.
The specified error mostly happens due to the Plugin Conflict or any Custom Code. As you have already gone through the Common Issue, I would suggest you please copy your live site to a staging server so we could troubleshoot freely in the staging site without breaking your live site.
And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Okay. It is all backed up. You can go ahead.

Hi @nblund,

I have set the Checkout page to another page from WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Page Setup > Checkout page and saved it. Then I reset it to the Checkout page and after saving it, the page started loading in the Page Builder. I assume, there might be a problem that occurs during the assignment of the page of checkout, which resolves when reset.

NOTE: We have deactivated all the plugins except the WooCommerce during the testing. So if you find the same error again, please follow the same steps.

Thanks

Hi @tristup
Would you have any suggestion as to how I identify the problem?
Needless to say, resetting from time to time is not a sustainable solution.
Thanks very much for your help.

Hi @nblund,

It will be very difficult to recognize the problem without knowing the previous steps have been made. And resetting the option is not a solution, you can repeat it if you find the problem again.

Thanks

Hi @tristup

But what would YOU do ?
There has to be a way right ?

Thanks.

Hello @nblund,

The best option is to have a staging site first. All the changes, updates and troubleshooting should be done in the staging site. You do not have to reset an option or setting in the live site especially if it is already have visitors and users.

Best Regards.

Thanks @ruenel ,

I actually consider the current setup a staging site.
But technically, how would you go about it?
What would you do first?

Thanks.

Hello @nblund,

The builder preview issue generally happens due to cache, plugin conflict, and JS customization so I would suggest you must troubleshoot the common issue from our common issue guidelines. In case you are having an issue with WooCommerce you need to reset the page WooCommerce page and then you might need to reset the permalink.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Hi there.

I have been thoroughly checking for the error and have to observations:

1
The problem arises as well with no other plugin activated but WooCommerce.
2
I can’t replicate what @tristup found in the above: That after reset it to (back) the Checkout page and after saving it, the page started loading in the Page Builder. When I follow the same procedure, the problem remains once I have reset it to the Checkout page.

Thanks.

Hello @nblund,

I checked your given site’s Checkout page it seems that the page builder is loading fine at my end. I have tested it on the Google Chrome browser Version 107.0.5304.107. It might be the issue with the browser cache I would suggest you please clear your browser cache and then check it again. If the issue still persists please let us know which browser you are using and the version of the browser.

Thanks

Hi there.

I have purged cache multiple times (wordpress, WooCommerce, browser), still the same result on both Safari (Version 16.1) and Chrome (Version 107.0.5304.110). Please, see attached images from each browser (3 minutes old).

I agree that sometimes the page runs fine, but most of the time it runs as depicted in the attached. As you know, I have tested with and without plugins, and the issues arises multiple times without any plugin (but Woocommerce and Theme.co’s ‘Under Construction’ plugins) activated…

Thanks.

Hello @nblund,

We checked it on the Safari browser and it is working fine on our end. Please check the screenshot in the secure note. Please make sure you are not using any browser extension which is stopping a JS/CSS file that is required for the page builder to load or you may contact a local developer expert in your area to check it since we are not able to replicate your issue at our end.

Hope it helps
Thanks for understanding
