Post Slider (Modern Slider) and offset for following posts

On the blog layout I have a modified post slider (Hero Post Slider from Modern Sliders) which shows the recent 3 posts - works fine.

Below that slider I have the rest of the posts (showing 6 posts right now) which also includes the recent 3 posts which are already shown at the slider plus a pagination. Since I can’t use a Looper Provider here (else the pagination won’t work), it’s not possible to set an offset so the posts below the slider start with the 4th post. How that could be achieved?

Hey Mirco,

Thanks for reaching out!

There’s no option to set an offset without using the Looper Provider. I suggest that you do the offset in your slider, like offsetting 6 posts. In that way, the pagination still works on your blog layout.

Cheers!

Thanks for your reply.

But if I set the offset of the slider to 6, then not the most recent posts are at the slider, but the post which are coming on page 2, or?

Is there way to tell Wordpress to start its loop with an offset for a specific element on the blog page - excluding the slider - or to make the slider part of the general loop without using a Looper Provider at the slider itself?

best regards
Mirco

Hey Mirco,

Regretfully, what you need is not possible. This would need custom development which only our Elite team could do. If you’re interested, you can check the details and pricing here https://theme.co/elite

Thank you for understanding.
