Possible scenario

Hi,

recently I got an inquiry from one of my clients that made me think. After bug-hunting since beta 1, I got so impressed with the upcoming update, that I wondered if this update might change how I would realize the website my client asks for.

The client has 4 domains, each representing a different brand. The brands however are very similar. There websites should have the same look and feel, but only differ in the logo, texts and color-scheme.
Translating in my own words that means for websites with a identical page-structure, identical use of elements, but with different colors and logo’s. I’ve shared some impressions my client created at the end of this post.

Until now I would suggest 4 different stand-alone websites (over multisite), and be saving/exporting/importing templates over and over and over and over, to achieve the same look and feel. But with the new update coming, I wanted to share this scenario and present the question if the new release, in your opinion, brings additional options to cover this scenario.

Hi @dhunink,

Are these pages? Or entire sites? The Layout builder is a great choice if you want several pages to follow a design within one site, but unfortunately it’s not a good fit to enforce designs across multiple sites.

Another challenge I can foresee here is that we don’t support Dynamic Content for colors yet… that won’t be possible until some bigger rewrites of the generated CSS system which we’ll be try to tackle alongside responsive styling.
