Hi there,
I’m relatively new to cornerstone. I want to create a pop up window from a nav bar button (a registration button, similar to a contact form format) and I couldn’t figure it out.
Could you please help?
Hello GenerationP,
Thanks for writing in!
Before you can create a popup window, you will need to install ConvertPlus plugin. You can get it by going to X > Validation > Extensions. To know more about this plugin, please check this out:
And to trigger the ConvertPlus modal popup from a link in your navbar, you can check out this documentation:
Hope this helps.
Thank you RueNel for the fast reply
I followed the video step by step but the pop up window is appearing as soon as I open the website.
How to I trigger it to open only when someone presses on the nav bar button?
Cheers,
Yara
Amazing! Thank you
You’re always welcome Yara!
Cheers.
Hi Lely,
I’m having an issue with the pop window. I followed the below article to wire the emails to the company email:
But the issue is that every time i register an email from the pop window, i get the same email sent to me which is “nald.jb@gmail.com”. Could you please help me?
Thanks
Hi Yara,
Just wondering if the “nald.jb@gmail.com” is the admin email address? If it is and you’re alright changing it to info@generationp.com (which I assume is the company email), then give it a try.
If you have tried it and it doesn’t change the sender email from nald.jb@gmail.com to info@generationp.com OR if you prefer to continue using “nald.jb@gmail.com” as the admin email address then we’ll need to use a different approach.
The approach is to manually set the sender email address to info@generationp.com. Just before I show you how to do it, I think it’s helpful to point out that the ConvertPlus setting from the link you followed is only for setting up which email address will receive the notification and not who the sender is. So info@generationp.com does receive the notifications but the sender is still nald.jb@gmail.com.
Now, to manually set the sender email address, please follow this resource from WPBeginner https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-change-sender-name-in-outgoing-wordpress-email/.
It shows you two methods. If you are comfortable with coding in Wordpress, I would recommend you follow Method 2. But if you prefer not to touch code, Method 1 is going to be your friend.
Hope this helps. Cheers.
