PolyLang Creates Problems With Cornerstone

I am having problems with PolyLang similar to the topic billow.

I tried the suggestions, but the result is still the same. I tried sticking to “The language is set by the directory name in the pretty permalinks”. When using this option I can see all the pages in English in cornerstone, if I have switched the language to English, and when I switch to German I see all the German pages. However if i try to edit any of them I see the “iFrame response” error.

If I keep my settings to “The language is set by the content” I can’t see any of my German pages with cornerstone, no matter which language I am using at the moment. And if I try to edit an English page that I see with cornerstone I get the same iFrame error again.

The website in question is https://body-wisdom.net/

I have reset the permalinks as well for every separate test, but it doesn’t help.

I have narrowed down the problem to the plugin or it’s settings. If I disable it completely I can see all the pages I have created in both languages and I can edit them as well. The moment I activate it again, the iFrame error in Cornerstone appears.

These are my current settings:

Do you have any suggestions? What can I do to fix this?

Kind regards,
Julian

Hi Julian,

Thanks for reaching out.

I saw similar issue but we have different result, some may works the same as the setting in your screenshot, but right now, it’s not on your setup. Would you mind providing the login credentials in the secure note? I like to investigate this permalink issue first.

Thanks!

I’ve just added a secure not with my creds in the upper post. Hope it helps!

Kind regards,
Julian

Hey Julian,

It’s weird that the URL setting that now work with Cornerstone is.the The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks.

Hope that helps.

Hi Christian,

And thanks for fixing the issue! Did you do something special apart from changing this option? I tried it several days ago and reset the permalinks, but that didn’t seem to work for me. In any case, thanks again!

Kind regards,
Julian

Hey Julian,

In your Languages > Settings > URL Modifications, the “The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks.” option should be enabled.

Hope this helps.
