Paid Memberships Pro, ToS field at Checkout is blank

Hi,
as above, when using Pro, the box that should show the ToS (In my case, T&C) on the Checkout page, that someone has to tick to agree to before joining, is blank. The header is there, and if I change the page selection that is used for that, the heading changes to that page, any page works really, so it’s picking up the page OK, just not showing anything in that box.

Changing to a simple default theme cures the issue.
Disabling all plugins, except PMP, whilst still using Pro, doesn’t cure it, so I think it must be theme related.
Any ideas anyone?
Many thanks.

Hi DohRayMi,

Thanks for reaching out.
We have not tested the said plugin and have never been reported with the conflict you are talking about. Although it is a 3rd party plugin issue, we are still curious to know the reason behind that. Please note that we do not guarantee a fix nor compatibility for conflicting code.
I would suggest you troubleshoot the following common issue to recognize the reason behind

1.Theme Related Issue
2.Plugin Conflict
3.Theme Update related issue
4.Child Theme Related issue
5.CSS/JS Customization

If the issue persists with only our updated parent theme, I would request you share the login credentials of your site in a secure note to investigate.
Please include the following details:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Alternatively, you can try using one of the bundled plugins available with the theme named Woo Checkout Editor for similar purposes.

Thanks

Hi Tristup,
thanks for the quick response.
I have tried regressing the theme to 4.3.3 but it didn’t help, (now upgraded to 5.0.8 again) nor did using the Parent theme instead of the Child theme help, for either version.
I have deactivated all plugins except PMP and the issue is still there (now reactivated).
I don’t have any CSS or JS customisations, so I am sharing log in details below.
Thank you again for your help, much appreciated.
Philip.

Hi @DohRayMi,

The reason why the terms and conditions content is not showing on the checkout tab is that on the Terms and Conditions page when editing inside the builder, the data is saved to post_meta while I suspect that the PMP plugin is using post_content in calling the terms and conditions data in Terms and Conditions page that’s why it is not showing. To solve your issue, I suggest that you use the default editor in your Terms and Conditions page so that it will display the content in your terms and conditions field on the checkout page.

Hope that helps.

Hi Marc,
thank you.
I don’t know if I have done what you said correctly, but it made no difference.
What I did was click on Edit (instead of Edit with Pro) in the pages menu, then saved the page, without making any changes. Is that what you meant, or do I need to scrap that version and create a new page?
Many thanks.

Hi @DohRayMi,

Yes, that’s what I mean. Click the edit in the pages menu, then saved the page. I went ahead and change cornerstone to default gutenberg editor then save the page and on the checkout page, it is now showing the proper content.

Hope that helps.

Hi again Marc,
yes, that did the trick, thanks so much!
I didn’t do the extra step of changing the editor, so that’s what it must have been. I will bear this in mind for any future issues PMP.
Thank you again for your fast and efficient help, it is very much appreciated.
Philip.
