Overlapping Elements & Header Not Showing for Editing

Two issues…

  1. I would like for my website green box to overlap, similar to the example provided. I have tried every aspect and it is not working.

  2. There is no where on my website back end to edit the header, footer, etc.? I have other X Theme website and it’s easy to do. Also, I rather have the more classic X Theme editor like on another site I have verses the one being shown.

Can you help?

Hello @SE1217707,

Thanks for writing in!

#1.)

#2)

With the X theme, you can tweak the Header and Footer in Cornerstone > Theme Options > Headers or Cornerstone > Theme Options > Footer

And if you have selected Widget Areas for the footer, you can edit or changes things in Appearance > Widgets > Footer {n} area.

If you want to design your own custom header or footer, it is not possible with the X theme. Upgrading to the Pro theme will make it possible since the Pro theme has its own Header/Footer builder.

Best Regards.

Thank you for your help - a few follow ups…

  1. How can I add an image and text above the logo for all pages, and below that the logo itself?

  2. How can I have the header be the same across all pages?

  3. How can I change the footer color to: #44593a - I do not see this option under the Footers section in Cornerstone

Hey @SE1217707,

Thanks for updating in!

1.) You are about to modify the theme’s built-in header designs. What you are trying to accomplish requires custom coding which is beyond the scope of our support under our Support Policy. If you are unfamiliar with code and resolving potential conflicts, you may select our One service for further assistance. meanwhile, you might want to check out this old thread:

Again, we highly recommend that you upgrade your X theme to Pro theme instead to be able to utilize the Header Builder and the Footer Builder which will allow you to create custom header/footers for the entire site or select pages only.

If you just want to insert your Logo Image on top of your header, you can surely do that in Cornerstone > Theme Options > Headers > Logo Image.

2.) Assuming that you have added the logo image in the Theme Options, it should be displayed through out the entire site.

3.) You can do that in Cornerstone > Theme Options > Stack > Topbar Background because it will also change the color of the Footer background.

Kindly let us know if this works out for you.
