"Optional" unwillingly added as post category in The Grid

Hi there,

I just realised that as soon as I update posts on my client’s website an additional “category” named “Optional” is being added to them, or at least such category is listed within The Grid. This is odd because there is no such category named “Optional”. The link points to some WPML taxonomy:

https://www.kanzlei-arnoul.de/?translation_priority=optional

The post page built with The Grid is here: https://www.kanzlei-arnoul.de/wissen

I read somewhere that Themeco no longer supports or bundles The Grid. I hope I don’t have to switch to another plugin …

Thank you!

Jens

Hi Jens,

Thanks for reaching out!

Would you mind sharing your admin credential so that we can take a closer look on the back-end settings? To do that, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thank you.

Hi @Paritor,

I check your website and I couldn’t also check the source of the category “Optional”. That being said, I suggest that you deactivate all your plugins except for WPML, and let see if the issue still persists. If it still persists, I also suggest copying your live website to the staging area for further investigation without disrupting your live website.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, @marc_a!

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier — I’ll try that and keep you posted.

Jens
