Offset for link and jump to ID anchor in section

Hi there

where can I set the offset distance from the top of the browser viewport for a ID anchor in a section? Ist there a option in Cornerstone to set a value for different breakpoints?

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hello Felix,

Thank you for the inquiry.

What do you mean by “offset distance”? Are you referring to the distance the document scrolls relative to the anchor or destination? There is no option for this by default, as it is handled automatically by the browser. Could you provide a screenshot or a short clip?

Best regards.

Hi Ismael

Thank you very much for your reply. I am looking for the field, where I can add a offset to the destination anchor of a section ID. By default, the destination anchor is at the top end of the browser, so that the content of the section is hidden by the header:

If I can set a offset of 50px to the destination anchor, the section would be pushed further down and the content would nor be hidden:

Thank you very much for your help!

Kind regards,
Felix

Hi Ruenel

Thank you very much for your reply. My bar element in the custom header is transparent and only white on the left side. The site content scrolls out at the very top of the browser so this is exactly how I want it to be. I only nee to set a offset to the ID anchor of the sections I want to set links to. Is there no such options in Cornerstone builder? Something like this:

Thank you very much for your help!

Thank you for the clarification. There is no scroll offset option by default, but you can work around this by adding a spacer (e.g., Gap element) or transparent content above the section where you need the document to scroll. You can then move the ID or anchor to this element instead of the section where the ID was previously applied. Let us know if this works for you.
