Not able to update plugins - please help

Hello,
recently i posted this thread:

Due to the virus my focus has been elsewhere and i have not had time to write my login information, so the thread was locked after the 10 days.

I would really like some help with solving the problem so i can activate debug mode and give you my login credentials in a secure message. Please reply to this as soon as possible and i will send my information that you need.

Hey @Jell92,

As asked in the previous thread, please provide the following info in a Secure Note

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password
  • FTP details (ask your web host if you’re not familiar with this)

Thanks.

I have attached a secure note now

Hi @Jell92,

Thank you for the credentials. I can see a fatal error:

 Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Cannot unset string offsets in /customers/9/a/9/anders-magic.dk/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/updates/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php:575 Stack trace: #0 /customers/9/a/9/anders-magic.dk/httpd.www/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(290): TGM_Plugin_Activation->filter_plugin_action_links_activate('<') #1 /customers/9/a/9/anders-magic.dk/httpd.www/wp-includes/plugin.php(206): WP_Hook->apply_filters('<', Array) #2 /customers/9/a/9/anders-magic.dk/httpd.www/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-plugins-list-table.php(828): apply_filters('plugin_action_l...', '<', 'contact-form-7/...', Array, 'all') #3 /customers/9/a/9/anders-magic.dk/httpd.www/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-plugins-list-table.php(607): WP_Plugins_List_Table->single_row(Array) #4 /customers/9/a/9/anders-magic.dk/httpd.www/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-list-table.php(1273): WP_Plugins_List_Table->display_rows() #5 /customers/9/a/9/anders-magic.dk/httpd.www/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-list-table.php(1204): WP_List_Table->display_rows_or_ in /customers/9/a/9/anders-magic.dk/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/x/framework/functions/updates/class-tgm-plugin-activation.php on line 575

Please try to update X theme first and then Cornerstone plugin to the latest version. Check this update guide. Check again after the update. Thank you.

Hello, I have done that now, and it still shows the error.

Hi @Jell92,

Thank you for the login credentials, the errors tell that there is an issue with a plugin (or plugins), most notable is the wp-editor.

You need to deactivate that plugin, but since your plugins panel is broke. You need to do that via FTP or cPanel (please see the following video tutorial)

Deactivating WordPress Plugins with FTP without Needing WP Admin Access

Deactivate just the wp-editor first by renaming its folder, and if that did not resolve the issue, then you need to deactivate all the plugins by renaming the plugins folder (like on the video tutorial). After all the plugins has been deactivated, rename the plugins folder back to plugins and then activate the plugins one by one, until you see which plugin triggers the errors.

Let us know how it goes,
Cheers!
